Otherwise you will see a slow down in steam and eventually it could stop working altogether. The Speed Steam has been designed to include an easy descale system. The steam generator self cleans and flushes out lime-scale, you'll just need to insert a tube and position it by a sink so that the water can be flushed through the system.
